Across the country, the commercial construction industry operates on credit.  The main way to secure a loan you make to a building owner for the labor and materials you provide for construction is a mechanic's lien.

This presentation will benefit general contractors. subcontractors and msterial suppliers in understanding their rights on private and public construction projects under Ohio's mechanics lien laws.

The distinction between lien rights on private and public projects

Timeframes for asserting and contesting liens

Perfecting lien rights

Protecting the right to recover under a surety bond
